1. Introduction

Mobius SMSC Gateway is a carrier-grade Short Message Service Centre designed for high-volume A2P/P2P messaging, interconnect, and monetization. It provides reliable store-and-forward, flexible routing across legacy and next-gen cores (2G/3G/4G/5G), and first-class integrations for charging and business applications. The platform simplifies management of local and global SMS traffic while ensuring secure, timely delivery at scale for mobile operators, MVNOs, and enterprise messaging providers.
This documentation explains how to configure and operate the SMSC end-to-end — covering destinations, virtual networks, routing and rules, charging, message processing, and operational views.

1.1 Key Capabilities

Standards-compliant messaging core
Full MT/MO SMS workflows over SS7/MAP, SGs (LTE NAS), IMS (SMSoIP) and 5G NAS via SMSF, with store-and-forward semantics, validity handling, retry, and delivery reporting.
Protocol-aware connectivity
SS7 (MTP3/SCCP/MAP over M3UA), SMPP 3.4/5.0, SIP (for IP-SM interworking), HTTP APIs for northbound integration, and Diameter where applicable (charging and IP-SM environments).
Virtual Networks (multi-tenant & per-operator policy)
Per-operator/region “virtual networks” encapsulate protocol choice, addressing (GT/NOA/TT), SRI and delivery destinations, charging endpoints, and SCCP overrides—enabling clean separation of topology and business rules.
