Appendix A: Terminology Mapping

This appendix maps Mobius SS7 UI objects to their closest equivalents in SS7/SIGTRAN standards terminology. Use it as a “decoder ring” to keep the rest of the documentation concise and to avoid repeating conceptual definitions in every configuration section.
Mobius UI objects are management abstractions. They usually correspond to a set of parameters across multiple protocol layers, not to a single standards-defined entity.
Mobius Model in SS7 Protocol Suite:

Destination - SS7 domain context (your OPC + NI + optional NA + default RC policy)
Server - remote service target (Remote PC(s) + SSN(s) + optional RC)
Link - transport path (SCTP/TCP connectivity + optional ASP identity)
Remote Titles - GT routing keys (SCCP Global Titles mapped to a Server)
