6. API Usage and Testing

The Routing Management system has a fully-documented REST API designed for automation, integration, and remote provisioning. All endpoints require routingapi role authorization and accept structured POST requests containing authentication tokens.

6.1 Authentication and Roles

Each API request must include:
username: authenticated identity (admin/operator)
sessionID: valid UI or system-issued token
Access is granted based on the routingapi role.
