Introduction to Mobius Management Interface

The Mobius Management Interface is the central management layer used by all products.
It provides a single, consistent interface where products can be configured and controlled.

No matter which Mobius product you are using, the management experience remains the same.
This simplifies setup, reduces complexity, and makes system administration more efficient.

Modular Architecture

The system is modular by design, meaning that each module operates independently.

• Every Mobius product consists of a predefined set of modules
• Modules cannot be changed or replaced within a product
• The same modules have similar configurations across different products
• Some modules can be shared across multiple products (e.g., routing)

This modular structure keeps the system flexible and consistent while maintaining a stable and predictable architecture.

Cluster Architecture

All Mobius products are scalable by design and support cluster-based deployment.

• Multiple servers can work together as a single product
• This group of servers is called a Cluster
• Each server within the cluster is called a Node

Each cluster is identified by a Cluster ID, which is unique across all Mobius products.
Each node has its own Node ID.

👉 Together, Cluster ID and Node ID form a unique identifier across the entire system.

Configuration Management

One of the key roles of the Mobius Management Interface is configuration management.

It allows storing and managing settings for all modules and system parameters in one place.

Each module may require two types of configuration:

Global Configuration

• Applies to all servers within the same cluster
• Used for shared settings across the product

Local Configuration

• Applies to individual servers (nodes)
• Used for node-specific parameters

Examples:

• IP address → local configuration (unique per server)
• Timeout value → global configuration (shared across cluster)

This separation ensures both flexibility and consistency across the system.
